Terms of Service

The terms that govern access to and use of Cork.

Last updated: May 13, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your access to and use of Cork, including the Cork website, Chrome extension, temporary chart sharing pages, and related services. By using Cork, you agree to these Terms.

2. What Cork does

Cork is a Chrome extension for local video insights, history import, Cork / Uncork privacy controls, Vacuum List management, local retention settings, and temporary chart sharing. The current release is free and does not require subscription, Google sign-in, or device ID registration.

3. Local data and user responsibility

Cork stores many records locally on your device. You are responsible for your browser profile and local extension data. Removing the extension, clearing Chrome storage, changing browser profiles, or using cleanup tools may delete local Cork data.

4. Cork / Uncork limitations

Cork / Uncork features may back up, remove, or restore selected browsing history and cookies when technically possible. Results are not guaranteed. Browser rules, website rules, cookie expiration, security attributes, changed domains, and user settings may prevent removal or restoration.

5. Chart sharing

When you share charts, Cork uploads generated chart images and an HTML page to a public URL. Anyone with the link may view it while the page remains published. You are responsible for deciding whether a chart is appropriate to share.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Cork, interfere with backend services, attempt unauthorized access, use Cork to violate laws or third-party rights, or overload chart sharing, hosting, or CDN services.

7. Third-party services and websites

Cork may interact with Chrome APIs, websites you visit, Firebase / Google Cloud, Cloudflare R2, and Google AdSense on the website. We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, or terms.

8. Changes to Cork

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Cork for maintenance, security, compliance, or product improvement. If paid features are introduced in the future, the Pricing page and applicable terms will be updated first.

9. Disclaimer

Cork is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cork will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or service interruption.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Cork after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
